The rules

1.) Management is Law. If anything don't talk back to me or any other moderators. We usually know what we are doing and being the people in charge of this site we know how its supposed to work. If you think one of the moderators is abusing their power private message me and I will look into it. This site is larger than the ones we usually run so there will be more staff members than normal.


2.) No God-moding. All characters have to have a weakness of some kind (unless plot holes/devices are involved (staff only they will deciede otherwise)). We monitor the site closely so if we suspect you are god-moding we will be quick to take care of the problem. Other than that Your characters are required to be Over powered or they will die. OP is required, while you aren't going to be forced to make OP characters We will tell you the likely hood of your character surviving depending on the area, there are about only three area's where a character that is not op can survive.


3.) No harassing. On the other side of the computer is another living, breathing, feeling person who deserves respect if it's a robot I will have my friend the hacker killing pengiun delete them I'm serious about this. If your character relationship is rude or obsessive then make sure those feelings stay purely inside role-play. We will not tolerate this and if you are found to be abusing another person outside of role playing we will ban you.


4.) Keep it PG-13. Kissing and hugs and pulling other characters close is allowed, and nearly anything up to actually cybering on the board. It is not permitted and you will possibly be banned. also porn is prohibited as well I didn't think I'd have to say it but some people don't read the rules. The Adult board however has a section for cybering for those of you who have characters who will do that and are that into Rping.


5.) No Spamming. If you post in the wrong section with role-play or a question, it's fine. If you spam about another site, it's not fine. It is offending and you will have two warnings before being banned. Also if a post says that it only wants certain topics discussed or certain people or gives you a set of rules for a spam game or something like that follow the rules and be respectful of the posters wishes. Spammers who come here to give people viruses and the like will be dealt with severly.I have serveral staff members who can shut down those who may harm your computer we will not allow someone to hit you through our site.


6.) No Slurs Racial or other wise! On this site there are all different nationality's, races, genders, sexual orientations, religious stand points, etc. keeping this in mind do not say anything that others will find offensive. if your character is racist try to keep it in character. This is a zero tolerance policy so one strike your banned.

7.) Listen to others. The others on this site have likely been Role-playing for a while now and will not tolerate much nonsense if they tell you something your doing is annoying or incorrect it's probably right but tell me first before you try to change. Also if you beleive you aren't doing anything wrong talk to me or one of the other admins we are here to help you enjoy the site and have fun, though we may take this seriously that doesn't mean we don't wish for you to enjoy yourself.


8.) No Spamming Posts, this basically means you post once in a story line and wait for everyone else to post. This keeps people from being left behind and moved without their consent. Also If you are Role-playing by yourself make sure there is room for others to join if you don't want other to join put a (Closed) or(Only for) sign on of course the moderators will be able to go pretty much anywhere to make sure laws are enforced

*Update* I am adding two set of rules for Rp types Horror Rules and Action Rules I will be making these as the week goes on so please watch.

Horror Rules

I will be enacting something called Horror rules on certain threads in this Rp the Horror rules simply treat the Thread as a horror/mystery Movie and all the rules of those move may be applicable. I'm expecting all members Admins and other staff included to follow these rules. Characters ike Mooch, Fraide, Micheal, Infinity, Shaoraia, and The Elements will not be taking part in the horror threads unless they are sevearly powered down...

Powers and Weapons: Oh you certainly have them the issues is that they aren't likely to be useful. note that the issue will never be invincible or unsolvable. I will never throw a "No win situation" at you. I suggest Team work and thinking to solve the issues I or any of the other admins will be presenting you with.

Never act like your in control: Because in a horror situation that's the easiest way to get killed the smart watch and listen the marked act like they know what their doing.

By passing the Horror section: Yeah not gonna happen don't even try if your in a horror thread your in it until either your character dies or the thread ends.

Running is a good Idea: because if you don't know what it is and it's comming at you it's probably not gonna be friendly and it'll probably rip your face off.

Death: Avoid at all cost. Seriously if you die in a horror thread the only way you come back is as the enemy. You don't want this.

Unkillable monsters?: Not really but for the intrest of story telling I'm not allowing one shots of the enemies. They also may or may not be immune to many peoples powers.

Rules you might want to look at. Just suggesstions.

THE ORIGINAL:
1.) "Never have sex. (Sex = death.)"
2.) "Never drink or do drugs. (A sin factor. It's an extention of number one.)"
3.) "Never ever, EVER under any circumstanses say 'I'll be right back' because you won't be back."

TO CREATE A SUCCESFUL SEQUEL:
1.) "The body count is always bigger."
2.) "The death scenes are always much more elaborate - more blood, more gore."
3.) "Never, ever, under any circumstances, assume the killer is dead."

FOR A TRILOGY:
1.) "You got a killer who's going to be super human. Stabbing him won't work. Shooting him won't work. Basically in the third one you gotta cryogenically freeze his head, decapitate him, or blow him up."
2.) "Anyone including the main character can die." 3.) "The past will come back to bite you in the ass. Whatever you think you know about the past, forget it. The past is not at rest. Any sins you think were committed in the past are about to break out and destroy you."

ALL THERE ARE NOW IS REMAKES:
- "There are still rules, but the rules have changed. The unexpected is the new cliche."
- "You gotta have an opening sequence that blows the doors off, gallop some music video direction and the kills gotta be way more extreme."
- "Modern audiences get sappy to the rules of the original. So, the reverse has become the new standard. In fact, the only sure-fire way to survive a modern horror movie, you pretty much gotta be gay."


Action Rules

Reaction based: First come first served If you aren't fast you get left behind Those left behind are put into a shadow state where they are treated as an npc where they will do the generic 'Follow and listen but not act.' thing until they get back in the flow action threads will be held at certain dates and run while the admin running them is on.

Impossibilty factor: things that are normally out of your power range will occasionally be available this does not mean that you can god mod anything. Ha! As if! God modding is impossible in this state there will be at least two fighters more powerful. anyways this really just means that if normally you can only jump 5 feet you can now go twice as fast if your moving you can effectively double your physical traits when you need to this should be describe as a sudden reserve of energy but it can be buffed anyway you please. Something simmilar if for your powers you can also increase your powers depending on the situation by half if normal situation. if 'last stand' double it.

Tougher enemies: In response to your power boost the enemies can do the same beware.


The Head Admin's Personal Rp Style


Ihave a bit different of a personal style than what is normally used on these forums. when I use my personal syle my posts will be long maybe even annoyingly long. (I will try and keep them short for those who aren't used to it yet) And I will exercise a small amount of control over others characters, nothing out of character just enough so that mch more happens during the post. NOrmally control over anothers characters is against the rules but any thread that has a [Full Sync accepted] posted by either an admin or the thread author may use this style it's meant for you to have fun and I've been told to implement it more into the rp.
